Summer Strings 

In-Person Workshop 2024

July 8-19, 2024

9:00 am- 12:00 noon daily.

Community performance scheduled for the evening of July 19, 2024.

Location: First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave, Ames, IA 50010.

Cost is $120

The 2024 Summer Workshop will return to an in-person learning and performance opportunity for young strings students who can read music- middle school students. 

The workshop provides 25+ hours of instruction over a two-week period of time for all students. 

Registration is limited and will be documented in the order received. Video submission or in-person opportunity to play for conductors will occur prior to the workshop. This is done to assist with music selection.

The Friends of Ames Strings is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded in part through donations and a grant from the City of Ames Commission on the Arts (COTA).
